Gym and back

  It's a gym day and rowing to start, I wasn't feeling as good as earlier in the week so only 3918 meters in 30 min.  On to dead lifts and 40kg working up to 60kg not to heavy.  Machine rows next and 42.5kg going up to 57kg. Rear delt flys starting at 50kg and going up to 57kg it was a struggle.  Lat pull downs and 42kg then up yo 57kg and some light ones at 35kg to finish.  Narrow cable rows working from 42kg up to 56kg and back down to 35kg to finish.  It was a nice work out and I really pushed hard and had to drop weights but pushed through. Afternoon walk

  It was out for an afternoon walk, I made the most of the warm weather and after walking up Rowley path behind the golf club I extend it to go around Black Park Lake and tested myself to a mocha form the cafe.  It was 8 golf balls for today's trip not bad considering it's the end of November. I've started a new book and it's a Christmas release so I'll try to put up a bad review before Christmas! Have fun stay safe 👍

Leg day

  It's back to the gym today after a rest yesterday. It was cross trainer to start on intervals level 15 good going only 1.45 km but 418 calories burned and some legs ready to go. On to hack squats and there was 15kg added to the machine I didn't realize until deep into it so it was 72kg dropping to 57kg.  Leg presses next and 50kg going up to 70 kg. Leg extensions 50kg going up to 65kg Leg curls 50kg up to 65kg.  It all felt ok and no notable problems. Have fun stay safe 👍

Afternoon of course work,

  After an active day yesterday it's a bit more sedate this afternoon. I'd made an order on Amazon which was being delivered between 2-4 so I decided to stay in for it and work my way through some course work. Module 6 isn't due until December 22 but I've got half way through it this afternoon.  I'll attempt to finish it off on on Monday leaving just one more to go.  Have fun stay safe 👍

Quantum Of Menace, Vaseem Khan

  It’s that time of year where publishers push their latest wears for Christmas. If you’re a fan of James Bond 007 you’ll know that there have been a number of books released with him as the lead character but written by modern authors.  This is the latest instalment of a book in the 007 universe and taking a slightly different view this time you’re following Q as he has to solve a number of challenges and problems.  It’s a really well written book and it’s a nice easy read too. You you’re into 007 James Bond it’s a good plot, well written and would be suitable for a teenager to read as there’s nothing rude or violent.  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Have funstat safe 👍

Afternoon hike

  The weather was good so I wanted to get out for an afternoon hike. Around the estate first to collect the WeWards then up Rowley path to collect some golf balls 5 today.       I was asked to get a cinnamon bun on my travels so I extended my return walk to Sainsbury’s and Starbucks in Sainsburys. I was lucky as there was only one cinnamon bun left, I treated myself to a mocha and was horrified with the £8 price for a cake and coffee. What happened and wow inflation really hit since the last time I bought a coffee and a bun!  Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

Morning at the gym ! Triceps

  It was a mid morning trip to the gym, kicking off with the rowing machine I felt good so was able to pull a bit harder and got 4181 meters in 30 mins and 370 calories.  On to triceps next and a the cable machine was free so I started there.  The bar was already fitted so I started there, nice and light with 16.5kg going up to 28kg  Over head pulls next with rope fitted again starting with 16.5kg and working up to 32kg Rope pull downs starting with 20kg and going up to 28kg slowly.  The tricep machine was free so I jumped on starting with 42.5kg working up to 57.5kg  On to the bars next and kicking off with a 20kg bar French press going up to 30kg  I wanted to ad some ab crunches starting with 65kg and working up to 80kg  A nice work out and a lot achieved  Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

Rest day, course work and long walk to Windsor

  Woke up early this morning and settled down to finish off module 5 of 7 from my customer service course, it was a three hours of studying and writing before it was ready to submit. Hopefully I can get through the last 2 modules before Christmas and be free to start a new course in the new year !  I wanted to get out for a walk and I really wanted a five guys to celebrate completing another module so it was boots on and out to Windsor. As the weather was nice and sunny I thought I’d do the long walk again as I got close to the George III statue a family of deer crossed the long walk against the back lit path. If you squint real hard you can see them in the photo ! It was nice to get out and get some fresh air and even better to get some course work in.  Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

Gym day

  It’s back to the gym today and it was cross trainer intervals to start off. It was intervals on level 15 and 2.37 km with 438 calories.  It was on to biceps and preacher to start with an ez bar. 20kg added to start then another 10kg.  Machine preacher next started with 20kg then adding 10kg.  Cable curls next and starting with 10kg nice and slow then going up to 12.5kg.  I did some Lat pull downs starting with 35kg the going up to 50kg Bar curls next and starting with 17.5kg going up to 20kg.  Then bicep curl machine starting with 20kg up to 27kg and failure.  A nice session have fun stay safe 

Cold and wet walk

  It's been raining all day but I wanted to get out for a walk, I couldn't get anyone to share my enthusiasm so it was just me and an audio book. It was around the estate to start with then I headed up Rowley path I wasn't expecting golf balls but you never know.  I was shocked to find 3 balls I didn't venture into the little nooks and kranys as the mud was thick Andi didn't want to slip into a dangerous position. I got thoroughly soaked and it got a bit chilly but it was fun to get out! Have fun stay safe 👍

It’s a return to the gym for leg day I started off with some rowing to get warmed up. 3955 meters in 30 mins not bad going.  It was on to hack squats next with just the 57kg of the machine to start then adding 10kg.  It was leg extensions next and starting with 42.5kg going up to 65kg  On to leg press next starting with 50kg going up to 75kg  Leg curls next and I mirrored extensions but found it easier.  Calf raises next and starting with 40kg going up to 60kg it was good going 💪 Have fun stay safe 👍

Windsor and the long walk

  The long walk Windsor  Today it’s a longer walk than normal and a different route too. We waited for the temperature to rise into the + side and then headed out to Windsor. Walking through Eaton college sports fields and then Eaton it’s self it wasn’t too cold. Once on to the long walk the wind was stronger in the open and I was grateful that I’d bought my gloves with me.  Windsor castle from the  Long walk  On the way back it was a little look around the shops I bought a reusable coffee cup for work and we called into Pret for a mocha and a mince pie before heading home. It was a good 15 miles for the day and it’s nice to be home in the warm making the most of the evening.  Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

Walking today

  It was out for a walk this afternoon and the skys were clear ! It was just a short walk up Rowley path and back on the hunt for some golf balls and it was a productive day with 14 balls.  It was a good hunt and I was able to get 5 miles in and even though it was cold it was a nice walk. My army surplus boots are broken in at last and my feet were nicely cocooned and there was no rubbing. Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

Gym day Back

  It’s back to the gym today I was a bit bummed as the weather was nice and clear. It was cross trainer to start on intervals 14 I not I’m not progressing much but if I turn up the resistance it puts too much pressure on my knees. It was 1.55km and 407 calories in 30 minutes.  On to dead lifts starting with 10kg a side then working up to 20kg a side it was good. Rowing on the machine next starting with 42.5kg and going up to 60kg  Cable rows next and again starting with 45kg building up to 60kg it was a struggle.  Lat pull downs started onn50kg and went up to 60kg Ab crunching to finish on the machine starting with 64kg going up to 72.5kg  It was a nice session  Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

Walking day

  It’s out for a walk today, I set off mid afternoon the sky’s were clear and it’s still warm 10°C. I collected my WeWards the headed up Rowley path it’s still very slippery luckily I managed to stay on my feet today.  I made it up to the top and got a good six miles and 15 golf balls to add to my stock. On the way home the starlings were chattering away in their roosts and it must have been someone’s birthday as there were fireworks. It was a nice walk.  Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

Gym and chest

  It’s back to the gym today and it was rowing to start pushing a bit harder today it was 3940 metres in 30 mins and 352 calories.  Narrow chest press to start starting on 27kg going up to 35kg  On to machine flys it was 42kg to start going up to 65kg nice and slow. Incline press and starting with a bar and working up to adding 15kg nice slow presses.  The main cable machine was free so I grabbed it for some cable flys 2x10kg nice and slow then upped to 12.5kg per side.  Some wide chest press to finish starting with 25kg going up to 32kg until failure! A walk in the rain and more course work !

  It’s mid autumn and the weather is turning, it’s been a remarkable warm run and I can’t remember the temperature being in double figures in mid November. When I was young it would have been frosty in the mornings and wrapping up warm I guess that’s climate change.  Today it was a walk up Rowley footpath it was a hat and coat to shelter from the rain, it wasn’t that heavy but the path was slippery and tricky a points. I found six balls but threw one on to the course as it was a range ball. It was nice and relaxing and good to get some fresh air.  I came home did some chores and set about the next module of my customer care course now I’m over half way I’m hoping to finish it off soon !  Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

Customer service course update !

  Early in the week I received feedback for unit three of my customer service course and I’ve passed, while I was waiting for it to be marked I’ve been working towards unit 4 and I’ve submitted that this morning for marking and I’ll keep you all updated with how I get on ! 

A trip to Oxford

  It’s my first rest day and it’s a trip to Oxford. Now it’s only a 45 minute drive down the M40, if your thinking of going there’s no parking in the city centre use a park and ride it’s very cheap Thornhill was £2.50 and the bus was free.  First thing first there are lots of shops to look at yes some of them are geared for tourists with Oxford hoodies and such but there others, there’s a great pen shop Pens Plus and next door there’s a board game shop !  It’s good to walk around the dreaming spires we looked in the grounds of Queens college and walked around the Bodleian library and theatre grounds too. We weren’t able to get tickets for a tour of the Bodleian library as they were sold out for the day but it’s high on the list for next time. We got a spot of lunch in the winter market and walked around the town centre looking at the shops and taking in the sights. It’s well worth a visit  Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

  I wish ! It's a return to the gym and it's leg day again. It was rowing to start not a fast one just 3605m in 30 minutes.  Hack squats first and with just the machine to start with adding 10 kg  Leg press next and starting with 50kg working up to 100kg.  Leg extensions next starting with 42.5kg going up to 57kg  Leg curls mirrored extensions. It was tough going today and a struggle with the presses it’s all progress Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

Walking day

  It a walking day so once I got home it was boots on and out to try and make the most of the light. I headed around the estate first to pick up the WeWards and then up Rowley path.  It was very slippery under food lucky I was able to stay on both feet this time. It was a good walk and I was able to finish listening to Jeremy Paxman’s Black Gold, I was good.  It was also a good golf ball hunt with 12 balls collected and the rain held off for my entire walk.  Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

  There’s a classic image in people’s minds about London, its double decker buses in thick smog, of course the last time this happened was over 60 years ago.  Coal was the source of power in Britain for hundreds of years it powered the Industrial Revolution, the railways and the ships that made it’s empire grow and stretch around the globe.  Getting it from the ground was hot, dirty, dangerous and under paid.   It’s back to the gym today and it was cross trainer to start set to intervals on level 15 I got through 419kc and 1.49km.  It was on to triceps and the tri machine first starting at 42.5kg going up to 57kg It was on to the cable machine and pull down with a bar starting at 16kg building up to 28kg  Over head pulls next and starting with 18kgs going up to 30kg  Rope pull downs 16kg up to 28kgs  On to the bars to finish 20kgs up to 30kg. It was a nice season, have fun stay safe 👍🏼

Walking to Windsor and the Rowley path

Cricket pitch ready for Winter  It’s my second rest day and I went for a walk to Windsor for lunch, I’m listening to a new book so it was a nice hike. I got some lunch in Pizza express I’m just curious as to what rewards I get with the golden pizza I’m now 2.5 away from getting it ! It was a walk back and a quick chill, I watched some TV and drank some water before heading out again.  This time I put on my army surplus boots for the wet weather and headed up Rowley path to look for golf balls I wasn’t hopeful but I gave it a go. It was three balls today and I ran into lots of people I guess it’s a weekend for exploring. I’m hoping to get to the gym tomorrow until then, have fun stay safe 👍🏼

Back to the gym

  It's a return to the gym and it was crosstrainer to start. It was intervals on level 15 I pushed a bit harder then normal and covered 1.55km and 472 callores. It was onto legs and the leg room at the gym was busy so I started off with leg extensions starting at 42.5kg and going up to 65kg. Leg curls next and it was a mirror of extensions weight wise. Hack squats next and with just the machines resistance to start then adding 10 kg. The machine has 57.5kg resistance built in. Leg press with plates next and starting off with 50kg going up to 100kg it felt ok.  It was home to chill for a bit then attempt some more course work.  Have fun stay safe 👍

  It’s a return to the gym today and rowing machine to start I managed to get a good pace getting 3827 meters in 30 mins.  It was on to biceps on the machine starting with 20kg working up to 45kg Preacher with the ez bar next and adding 20kg to the bar to start and then a further 5kg.  On to cable curls starting light at 10kg nice and slow up to 22kg  Preacher machine next starting with 20kg and working up to 30kg.  Lat pull downs next with 15kg a side then going up to 25kg  Finishing with some ab crunches 65kg going up to 80kg  I came home had a bite to eat and settled down for some course work, I only got through one question as I gave some good examples and did a lot of typing. I’ve got two more questions for this module I’ll hopefully finish it this week.  Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

Two days and two walks.

  This week end I’ve been out for some walks, on Saturday it was a morning walk the weather was nice and i managed to time it so I didn’t get splashed by any of the big puddles that line the roads. Walking across the fields there’s a different set of wild life out and about. There was a kestrel hunting over the fields a very small bird of pray but it manages to hover perfectly over the field using the slight wind to keep its self in the air.  Up on the Rowley farm footpath it was very slippery I managed to slip over three times and got completely covered in mud. I also managed to bend my golf ball retriever and I deposited it in the rubbish bin on the course. I only managed to find 4 balls so a tad disappointing.  Sunday and it’s an afternoon walk, the kestrels are not to be seen as the larger red kites are about on the way out. It was only 3 months ago there was an air show of butterflies and dragonflies now they are all gone.  The path is just as slippery but havin...
