  Why do we read or listen to books what is it ?  I’ve thought about this a bit and it’s the friendship and trust we the readers place in our author. They take us by the hand and say look at this world I created, I built this in my mind and I want to share it with you. As much as we trust them they trust us too, because we have access to a little piece of them that day when the hero we all love has a terrible accident was that the author exercising there personality and getting revenge on them ?. The depth and scope of literature is incredible you could be at the bottom of the ocean, trekking across the arctic or in a space battle and still be in the comfort of your favourite chair.  Craig Alanson has a gift for writing Sci-Fi books that blend science, action and depth of character and tie it all together with suspense.   Oxeye Daisy’s I was driving home from work and I was a little late leaving so rather than head to the gym I thought I’d get out for a walk instead. Red Catchfly   I headed up to Woodland Path Rowley Wood Blackpark and collected my Wewards for the day, I had four left to collect. Along the way I took the opportunity to snap some pictures, it’s still foxgloves and daisy’s but I tried to get some delicate flowers too. I also wanted to explore how to get in to Blackpark from Rowley Wood using the footpath. When I got there I discovered it was a short walk down Rowley road and there’s a short path that leads into Blackpark. I also found a path that leads down the side of the hospital that connects to the main path.  It was nice to unwind and listen to a good book as well it’s like chicken soup for the soul.  Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

  After taking yesterday off as a recovery day it’s a return to the gym today. I wasn’t really in the right frame of mind but I thought I’d grind out something.   It was rowing to warm up I tried to keep the pace reasonable at 4km over 30 mins which I achieved.  It was on to shoulder press machine to kick off and starting with 20kg and going up to 35kg. It was on to a free bar and press first 20kg and going up to 30kg it wasn’t to bad but I was feeling flat so didn’t want to push.  Upright row next and I tried to mirror the press with the bar.  Lateral raises next on the machine and starting with 20kg going up to 33kg nice and slow.  To finish it was front plate raises and starting with a 15kg plate going up to a 20kg plate.  It wasn’t the best session and more a case of getting through it, I’ll take stock and try to push harder tomorrow!  Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

  Today sees the latest instalment of Clarkson’s farm and the opening of his pub the farmers dog.  I’m sure you’re familiar with Jeremy Clarkson from Top gear and The grand tour but this shows him in a different light.  Jeremy Clarkson expands his business empire buying a country pub while he tries to manage the refurbishment if the pub it’s also manage a farm during the harvest. Each episode is a complete journey with amazing production you’ll laugh, get angry and cry all in the space of an hour.  It’s on Amazon Prime and you should watch it, sit back and open a beer as Jeremy skirts a nervous breakdown.  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

  Nostalgia is a wonderful thing and remembering our youth can be especially powerful.  It must have started in the early nineties that we had a family tradition every Saturday afternoon was Fish & Chips. Now we had a chip shop a short walk away from the house but we didn’t go there. Instead we’d go for a 5 minute drive to Burnham lane. Burnham fish & chips is the best in the local area. Ok there might be a little bit of a wait because it’s cooked fresh for you, it’s only about 5-10 minutes but it’s worth it. There arnt many family run businesses out then any more so we need to collectively get behind them and support them. Otherwise there will be a sea of McDonald’s serving you junk full of preservatives and sugar.  Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

  VRXtra  Kingston  It’s my first rest day and I’m meeting up with my friend for an evening out. We have a shared hobby of escape rooms, we are mediocre at them if I’m honest but we have a laugh and some funny moments happen.  After some pre escape room beers it was mission sigma at VRXtra Kingston located in the shopping centre it’s a smaller enterprise but it looks good from the outside. We were a little early but as we were the only ones there it was straight into the game. The two administrators got us set up in the headsets and talked us through the main controls on the joycons and we were into the match. In the game lobby there’s an area to practice the main control aspects ie picking up tools and telliporting to other bits of the VR room.  The game itself was good the challenges were tricky but not so cryptic that it was impossible to work out and we managed to get through the rooms rather quickly.
