Starfleet Academy

I remember being 11 or 12 when the new Star Trek series started to be shown on BBC in the early 90’s. I’d already watched encounter at far point we’d rented it on video a few years before, it was still amazing to watch the CGI was next level compared to everything else we’d been watching on tv. Every week I’d tune in to watch the latest episode and then discuss it in the playground the following day. Diana Troy was my favourite I have to confess.

Then Deep Space Nine followed, now this is my favourite it’s darker and its characters have more depth and sinister nature. I’m sure this is how it would be. Not the nicely nicely world of the next generation but the dark world where friends and enemies have moving boundaries.

Well now the new Star Trek series has dropped on Paramount+ set way after all the series that have gone before the CGI is top draw. Watching the first episode there looks to be some good action with smart plot lines and some space battles the perfect combination for a Star Trek episode. If you’re a Trekkie then check it out.
