Fool Me Once, Michelle Keegan, Joanna Lumley, Adeel Akhtar

Another Harlan Coben thriller this ones a bit of a slow burner it has to be said a lot of these stories are layered this one more of a long story arc. Michelle Keegan takes the lead as a newly widowed mother who believes she has seen her dead husband on a nanny cam. When she confronts the nanny the situation escalates when the nanny pepper sprays hers and runs for safety. Keegan plays her part well there are some aspects of the character that makes it challenging playing a veteran who suffers post traumatic stress and can present challenges but Keegan dies well.

Dame Joanna Lumley plays the rich mother in law and she's brilliant and revels in playing a darker role, for someone we’re used to seeing as a bubbly happy personality the darker role makes it all the more sinister.

Adeel Akhtar plays Ds Sami Kierce who is the lead police officr during the series. This is a meaty role a senior police officer who's an expectant farther, suffering black outs and under strain to get results. You do become attached to his character in the way you would with an inspector Clouseau he's a lovable clumsy police detective. You know he has a good heart but things just go slightly wrong and he has to overcomehis own circumstances.

After watching Harlen Corben series that are layered this one felt a bit pedestrian, the acting was good but I want a bit more. There were moments of tensionand drama but infrequentand tame.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Check it out but not the best of the collection for me!

Have fun stay safe
