Sales, shopping and storms

Last night I listed some of the golf balls on eBay, the Titleist Pro V1’s and the TruFeel’s. Now it’s a crowded market on eBay so I placed them on promotion to be listed top. This morning I had sold both listings not for much but it’s a start.

After a quick visit to Tesco it was down to the local parcel shop to send them off.

It was an afternoon of preparing more golf balls to be listed and then a quick walk up Rowley lane and a big haul of 28 balls. When I inspected them at home three of the more valuable ones had small splits so we’re condemned to the bin.

I’ll keep you posted on more sales, have fun stay safe 👍🏼

I’ve been having a bit of knee trouble all day so I’m not going to push it today. Just a quick walk to get done we wards and then see where I am tomorrow. Hopefully I can go for a golf ball hunt although looking at the skies I don’t think there will be many people playing golf ⛳️  Have fun stay safe 👍🏼

Pepsi Cream Soda flavour

Image
When I was a kid during the late 80’s and early 90’s Saturday mornings where spent shopping in town, back then Slough town centre was pretty good unlike today. Saturday evening’s we used to drive to to Burnham fish and chips and sometimes we’d get a bottle of cream soda too. We’d then settle down for the evening movie on BBC 1 and feast, cream soda back then was pure sugar with a good dose of vanilla.  So when I saw Pepsi cream soda in Zabka at the end of the village I had to give it a go. Now to me Pepsi sugar free drinks leave a little to be desired their sweetener as a kind of salty or strange aftertaste which I couldn’t get along with since I was a child so my hopes weren’t high. I have to say I was surprised as this firstly really took me back to those childhood days as the taste of vanilla hit but that Pepsi sugar free taste wasn’t as strong, it’s still there but not as bad. Now I have to say it’s a wet and cold day as I write, but on a nice warm afternoon this would b...

Brighton day trip !

Image
Today we woke up and decided to have a day out, now the question was where to go ! We considered a few options Oxford, Portsmouth or just staying local but eventually we decided on Brighton. It was a nice drive down with little traffic and just over an hour latter we were parking, I think I found one of the most expensive car parks near the lanes. The seafront might have been a bit cheaper if you’re deciding to go.  We explored some of the lanes first, it’s mostly jewellery stores and a few boutique stores but worth a look. It was then looking at the pavilion for the pictures. There were some morris dancers as it’s May Day today. We had a look at some of the shops. We headed down to the sea front and the weather was gloriously sunny. A walk up the pier which cost £1 we weren’t tempted by the arcade and fair ground.  We had a walk down the beachfront for a bit and even looked for some sea glass on the beach but they were only small pieces and the tide was high. While we ...
