Lunch time hike in the heat !

The car has gone in for its annual service and MOT so in order to kill time and not sit in a hot flat it was out for a hike in the sunshine. It was down the Slough arm of the Grand Union canal

to start with then cutting up into Langley Park for a good walk around there. It was such nice weather we stopped off for a screwball ice cream in Langley Park Cafรฉ before continuing on. We did a full lap of Langley park then went out to the Uxbridge road via the horse stud.

 I wanted to continue the walk and push on for a lap of BlackPark too. We crossed the Uxbridge road and followed the path behind Rowley Farn And Wexham golf course.

 We went in to Blackpark and I went for a lap around, one of the trees had suffered some damage and a very large branch had snapped off, so that part of the footpath was closed. It didn’t take to long to get round and then we headed home. We came home Bi’s the same footpath and as we came close to the hospital the air ambulance swooped over head so I went to photograph it. I think it looks impressive hot on the helipad. I hope whoever was on board recovers.

There’s a bakery, butcher, delicatessen and a small off licence too. Be warned yes all the products are really nice but the do have a premium price too ! ๐’ฒ๐’พ๐“ƒ๐’น๐“ˆ๐‘œ๐“‡ ๐’ป๐’ถ๐“‡๐“‚ ๐“ˆ๐’ฝ๐‘œ๐“… ๐’พ๐“ƒ๐“‰๐‘’๐“‡๐’พ๐‘œ๐“‡ But if it’s pay day or treat day it’s worth a look and if you’re already out you can visit Runnymede memorials or the air force’s memorial as they are close by.  Have fun stay safe ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Lunchtime walk to Windsor

๐’ฒ๐’พ๐“ƒ๐’น๐“ˆ๐‘œ๐“‡ ๐’ž๐’ถ๐“ˆ๐“‰๐“๐‘’ ๐’ป๐“‡๐‘œ๐“‚ ๐’ซ๐‘’๐’ถ๐“ˆ๐’ธ๐‘œ๐’น  ๐“ˆ๐“‰๐“‡๐‘’๐‘’๐“‰ After spending the morning watching Kubrick’s Lolita and then writing about it I needed some fresh air, so with the headphones freshly charged I was up and out. There was no evidence of the Slough Grand Prix today so it must have been a quiet night. The only eyesore is the refuse on the streets, the fortnightly collection means bin bags get piled up and the ripped apart by the ever growing numbers of urban foxes looking for the rotting food inside. As I get out of the town I regret my outfit, I’m wearing a base layer, a wooly jumper and a coat the sun is bright and I’m getting hot.
