Clifton Suspension Bridge |
Today it was a latter start to the day after a hotel breakfast it was out to look for WeWard cards it’s a phone based game similar to Pokรฉmon. It’s strange that there are lots where I live but in this city they are really spread out !
Our fist activity of the day was a walking tour Blackbeard to Banksy and we met our tour leader Luke outside the cathedral. Lucky the weather today is a lot better and there was some sunshine. The tour took us all over the city and covered a lot of the graffiti in the city centre and some of the city’s history and development over the centuries. Of course Bristols famous bands were mentioned with pride Bananarama, Massive Attack and

Spartacus by JPS Andy Whitfield |
Radiohead to name a few.
It’s a really good tour and well worth booking. I’d recommend doing it on day one of your trip as you’ll get some helpful insights that will make your stay cheaper and more interesting. The walking tour is two hours long but it’s not that difficult to cover and apart from a few steps it’s mostly flattish.

Bow of SS Great Britain |
It was on to SS Great Britain it’s a very expensive tourist destination £22 for an adult but I have to be honest there’s a lot there and if you’re taking kids there’s lots to learn and there are actors and activities it’s not just an old ship. If you’re taking kids can get there the day before your planned visit after 3:30 and the tickets are half price and valid for a year. You can go inside the shop it’s been partially refurbished and gives a sense of what it was like as a passenger ship between the 1840’s and 1930’s. It was a slow walk back to the hotel stopping to get some snacks for the evening.

Clifton Suspension Bridge |
We were winding down for the evening and I wanted to get one last thing in for the day the big one Clifton Suspension Bridge. We caught the number 77 Bus up to Clifton Village walked around to the observatory and got a lot of pictures, then because we were there we walked over the bridge and back also getting some more pictures. It’s amazing to visit the Avon river below is at the bottom of some very steep and deep cliffs it’s incredible how they were able to build it.
Ok I’m going to call it a day !
Have fun stay safe ๐๐ผ
