Lunch time walk, Grand union canal and Langley park

Grand union canal
Slough arm.
It was great weather today so I wanted to give my back a gentle test and go out for a walk with the camera it see what I could come across.

We started off by

Mallard swimming

walking down the canal towards West Drayton. The canal has been cleaned up a little and there’s been some work on one side to tidy up the Bankside. It’s only a short walk to Langley park bridge. In order to get to Langley park you have to walk through a retirement village and a farmers field.

Field stubble from maze

Last summer it was full of sweetcorn that was at head high to guess this year the field is being left to rest as it full of last years stubble. At the end of the field there’s an entrance into Langley park proper.

Horse chestnut leaves

The plan was a walk around and a cheeky magnum ice cream along the way. Last time I was in Langley Park I noticed a deer sculpture that I wanted to photograph so I made a byline for it.

It’s on the way to the café so it was easy to find. When we did get to the café there was no Ice cream cones only ice lollys. My card got rejected four times because of a confection issue, how do I know because others had the same issue.

Magnolia Flowers
It was homeward bound stopping of to take some macro shots of the flowers the magnolia was in flower as well as some of the fruit blossoms. At times I must have looked a bit of a wally standing right up close to a flower to get some macro shots of the flowers but the results look good.

It’s something I’m exploring and the results are mixed, I think it’s just a case of getting more practice in. I’m going to wrap this up and have a rest.

Have fun stay safe 👍🏼
