Careless people, A story of where I used to work Sarah Wynn-Williams

Facebook and Meta are driving forces in the 21st century, The power held by these institutions is immense, they can bring down governments and start coups.

Sarah Wynn-Williams takes you behind the curtain and tells you what it’s like behind the doors of Facebook the key players and the development of this global force. Wynn-Williams sat at the top table and was part of all the key decisions and now she brings it to life on the page. Facebook tried to ban this book but couldn’t all the could do was stop it being advertised.

Wynn-Williams was part of the New Zealand mission to the United Nations when Facebook was in its infancy and when legal battles over coma’s on legal documents that no one would read become too tedious she approached Facebook knowing the would need someone with diplomatic skills as they grew into new territory’s.

Wynn-Williams takes you to the start of her career in one of the biggest companies in the world and gives you the inside track. From early mistakes and faux pas ( I thought that was just my home laptop !) to the development of a global giant all delivered with a witty Kiwi charm. It’s a great read and I would highly recommend picking it up, it’s worth it just to piss the Facebook elite off !
