Fosters Proper Shandy

Fosters proper shandy
A new product in the alcohol aisle Fosters proper shandy. I thought I’d give it a go and share my thoughts with you.

When I was a small kid I used to like the Bass shady that was in the newsagents, I haven’t been able to find it for the last 4-5 years perhaps they no longer make it.

So with that in mind I thought I’d try the new Fosters Shandy, unlike its Bass equivalent this one does contain alcohol at 3% ABV. I’m not normally a fosters drinker I find it a bit sharp for my taste if I have a choice I’d go for a Newcastle brown ale or Doom bar.

As a shandy I have to say it’s rather pleasant the lemonade knocks the larger back a bit and it’s really refreshing. Make sure the cans are chilled and on a warm spring or summer evening relaxing in the garden it would be nice.

It was good value at £3.80 for four from Tescos so if you are looking for something a bit lighter as your evening libation I’ll recommend.
