Vietnam The War That Changed America Apple TV+

On April 30th this year it will be fiftieth anniversary of the fall of Saigon and the end of the Vietnam war. 

Apple TV+ looks back at the conflict using archive footage from the first televised war and interviews with the survivors gives a unique insight into the war. 

Veterans describe their experiences and feelings with cuts to archive footage from the time. This documentary has been a long time in the making and it’s an important resource and possibly the last chance to get the memories of those involved recorded. 

An important time in United States history so much effort is made in promoting the positive achievements of the time, The race to the moon and the technology boom that’s just at its dawn, but the dark history of the Vietnam conflict is often overlooked and stored away in the psyche of those who were there. 

Apple has given a voice to those who were there and you get to see the look in the veterans eyes as they relive those events from over fifty years ago. 

A piece of modern history and a way to remember those who suffered and are still suffering with the effects of the war on its anniversary.

Sales, shopping and storms

  Last night I listed some of the golf balls on eBay, the Titleist Pro V1’s and the TruFeel’s. Now it’s a crowded market on eBay so I placed them on promotion to be listed top. This morning I had sold both listings not for much but it’s a start.  After a quick visit to Tesco it was down to the local parcel shop to send them off.  It was an afternoon of preparing more golf balls to be listed and then a quick walk up Rowley lane and a big haul of 28 balls. When I inspected them at home three of the more valuable ones had small splits so we’re condemned to the bin.  I’ll keep you posted on more sales, have fun stay safe πŸ‘πŸΌ

Afternoon walk

  It was an afternoon walk, I headed up to Rowley path as I feel there might have been a few Christmas golfers. I made it up to the top of the path and back. I found 11 balls today which was good going. The farmer had also been out with the chainsaw making the path safe by cutting some fallen trees. He’d left a can of two stroke petrol/oil mix near the tree so I grabbed it and left it on a fence post near to the farm for them to find in the daylight. It was a nice walk, I’ve finished Phoenix and I’m onto a new book so look out for a bad review.  Have fun stay safe πŸ‘πŸΌ
