Telephone boxes on Westminster bridge

ℒ𝑜𝓃𝒹𝑜𝓃 𝒫𝒽𝑜𝓃𝑒𝒷𝑜𝓍𝑒𝓈
Before mobile phones became main stream and affordable we all had to rely on public phone boxes, these are actually from way before my time. When I was young they had already evolved into all glass boxes with a British Telecom bugler stencilled on the side.

Because they are iconic and associated with London they are still in situ on popular tourist places in London, these two are in a poor state of repair with faded paint and stickers plastered all over them. But they tell their own story and the fact they are still there after I guess 70 years of abuse is a testament to their design.

If you’re are looking for a phone box in top condition for a photo opportunity then Covent Garden is probably the bes,t it’s out in the open with lots of light and its well maintained.

If you’re a Dr Who fan the Earls Court should be your stop for the only accessible police call box the other being in Hendon police collage.

Have fun stay safe 👍🏻
