Returning to the gym first of the year
After taking New Year’s Day as a recovery day it was back in to training today after work.
It was cross trainer to start on intervals level 15 and today it was a hard slog maybe because I’d spent a lot of time on my feet this morning.
On to a tri work out with the machine first starting on 33kg and moving up to 65kg.
On to the cable station next there was a Y bar all ready attached so that to start with starting light at 13kg and moving up to 28.5kg I try to use the same station every time so the resistance is uniform.
Over head cable pulls next an starting at 20kg moving up to 33.5kg it was hard at the end.
Then rope pull downs to finish again starting at 20kg nice and slow and finishing on 28.5kg feeling the burn
French press with a bar next 20kgs and up to 30kgs haven’t quite got the confidence to go to the next bar up at 40kg I could use a bar with plates to find a middle ground I guess
Then some abs to finish on the ab crunch machine starting light at 57.5kg and finishing on the max 80kg nice and slow
It was a good session despite the slow start I’m pleased that I went and achieved something.
