Love him or hate him that bumbling gaff ridden mess Boris Johnson released his memoir it time for Christmas. His pay for writing was astronomical as well as the serialisation of the book in a national newspaper. 

Of course much like the man it’s writer with bravado and bluster but a times it’s self deprecating too. It’s an interesting read and covers a unique period in UK and world history. Brexit and getting it finished and on in to the global emergency that was Covid 19 and the pandemic.

It’s an easy read despite been a long book, if you’re a fan of Boris Johnson the you’ll love this book you probably have it already. If you’re not such a big fan or you find his manner irritating then obviously avoid this book like the plague because he’s exactly the same in the book. 

An interesting time in political history that will never be repeated and a good look at the behind the scenes of major developments and the thoughts that were behind them as a historical book ok it’s good. As a biography it’s to much and hard at times.
