One of their most popular line’s are the Kaweco sport line normally a cartridge based pen that is very small to fit in a pocket and is designed to be used posted ( lid on top of body). This is the piston filler version I bought it on its first realise at the beginning of the year. It comes in a fantastic presentation tin box and if you get the set with the ink bottle inside it’s really impressive.

I want to tell you about the writing experience unlike most pens this one actually feels right when it’s posted in fact even if you have small hands you might struggle with just the bare pen. I filled the pen with Edelstein Golden Lapis as I’d just bought some it was the ink of the year for Pelikan. The pen is really light and nibble and would be perfect for taking field notes or away on a trip where you don’t want something bulky. The nib glides across paper so smoothly as though it’s been highly tuned. Golden Lapis ink has a gold shimmer to to and occasionally it goes clog the small feed in the pen, more a problem with the owner than the pen.
If your looking for a small pen to keep in a travel wallet or to keep with a travel journal then this is the ideal pen combined with a small pot of ink to fill it you could take all the notes from a long journey and be pleased with your choice of pen. I like it and I’d recommend it just note the pen is small and can be fiddly in big hands.
