Back at the gym !
I got to the staff car park the cold wind hit me and I was very tempted to take today as a recovery day. I got in the car and thought about going and buying lunch there’s a takeaway that does fish n’ chips for £7 at lunch time.
I’ve put that down as a treat for tomorrow on the way home instead. I did get to the gym and started off with rowing a nice pace just to get some blood moving around.
It was on to a back routine starting with dead lift not heavy just a bar plus 20kg good form and nice a slow, I upped the weight a bit and added another 10kg and finished off.
On to some rowing on the machine just 33kg to start moving up to 50kg it’s a nice comfortable weight.
Cable rowing next and narrow grip, starting at 42kg and working up to 57kg over 7 sets
Rear delt pulls with the rope on the cable machine next, only light it’s about catching it just right with the form, 13.5kg a side moving up to 21kg
Lat pull downs on the machine starting with 42.5kg and moving up to 60kg a bit of a struggle at the end but worth it.
Bent over rows for the last, nice and slow with the set bars first 17.5kg the the 20kg to finish.
It all went really well I’m glad I went and I’m not sitting here full of fish n’ chips feeling like I failed. It’s been four big days of exercise so tomorrow is a structured recovery day. Ummm fish n’ chips on the way home I’m not sure !
