Christian Ainley my day to day

  After spending most of the day under the duvet nice and warm with the end of The Railways book and MTV 80’s yesterday. Today is back to the reality of going back to work and getting in to the freezing cold car.  It’s not too bad though because I’m only doing 4 hours overtime and then it’s straight to the gym my first time in over a week I’m looking forward to it and it’ll just be an easy reintroduction to gage where I’m at !   It’s my rest day from work and even though I’m over my cold I’m taking a day off for myself.  There are some things to do I had to get some petrol because the car is nearly empty and I have to cover the windscreen for tomorrow morning but that’s it, it’s a pyjama day. I’ve nearly finished Railways I have 60 pages left and I can watch some you tube in between reading.  I’ll be back tomorrow hopefully with something more interesting to write about.  Have fun stay safe ! 

Woody’s Yiewsley, West Drayton  It was about 20 years ago I had my first Woody’s, I moved into the area and someone recommended it.  Locally it all ready had a reputation when the owner first opened it he wanted to make the cashier topless, when I visited it still had big metal grill’s on the counter I guess the were to keep her safe ish. Needless to say the local police put a stop to it reminding the owner that it would be a crime of indecent exposure and the cashier would be arrested.  Any publicity is good publicity isn’t that the adage, it’s always busy mainly people phoning in for delivery’s and before you point out it looks quiet in the photo it was -5°c out.  𝒲𝑜𝑜𝒹𝓎‘𝓈 ℰ𝓍𝓉𝓇𝒶𝓋𝒾𝑔𝒶𝓃𝓈𝒶  My go to is the Extravaganza, three pieces of bloomer bread, grilled chicken, sliced tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise and cheese all packed in with chips and a dip. It’s not healthy but it’s nice and I wolf it down.  Have fun stay safe. 

  90% The last days of a cold are frustrating, you’re nearly there the constant coughing has stopped and you’re no longer drowning in mucus, you can breathe again. But every now and then I dislodge some thing and a little coughing fit ensues, tomorrow I’m on a rest day so I’m hoping to have recovered by then so I can make the most of it. 

  𝒞𝓇𝑜𝓈𝓈 ℬ𝒶𝒾𝓁𝑒𝓎 ℱ𝑜𝓊𝓃𝓉𝒶𝒾𝓃 𝒫𝑒𝓃 When I choose to get back into journaling and writing down my thoughts and affirmations and all I used any old pen for the first month and I promised myself a nice fountain pen if I could maintain my journal for a calendar month.  I was in Reading on the month anniversary and I popped into WHSmith and looked at the pens, they have a cabinet with premium pens in and I got this Cross Bailey I got the cross ink cartridges too and I was looking forward to getting home and using it.  I was really disappointed so much so I gave up on it after a month. It feels nice and it’s comfortable in the hand but a very dry writer for me and would constantly run dry and need a shake, work for a line the need a shake. It never got better I tried cross ink and standard international ink cartridges but always running dry. I have lots of fountain pens and this is the only type that has ink starving.   𝒱𝒾𝓇𝓊𝓈 𝒞𝑒𝓁𝓁 𝒾𝓂𝑔  It’s the end phase of my cold, I’m no longer drowning in mucus or coughing up lumps of phlegm.  I do get the odd bit and then I have to dig deep and cough out. I caught it a bit wrong this morning and I’ve given myself a major headache all in the front of my head hopefully is settles down.  Have fun stay safe ! 

𝒲𝒶𝓁𝓃𝓊𝓉 𝒫𝑒𝓃 𝒮𝓉𝒶𝓃𝒹 I’ve been writing lots of fountain pen reviews normally I lay them on some blotting paper and balance the lot while taking a photo.  I thought that I needed to up my game and I looked for a clear plastic pen holder to aid my photography but I plumped for a walnut pen holder instead. I say walnut but I think it’s just the stain as it was only £7.  I think it’s good value and it’ll get some good use while I’m resting between writing and taking photos for this blog.
